Usb jig samsung8/31/2023 My terminologies might be shit cos I know nothing about engineering but here's the science behind it: When you give a (bricked) phone to Samsung, the engineers use a jtag toolbox (I think that's what it's called) to revive your phone. You can check the count by going into download mode by booting up with Power + Home + Volume Down pressed. The USB jig resets this counter so Samsung won't know you messed with the phone. If Samsung checks this counter when you go to repair a phone in warranty, and finds that you have, you might be denied warranty. The download counter counts the number of times you flash a custom binary (happens when you flash a ROM). Now you can flash a stock/other ROM via ODIN. The USB jig will revive your phone, put it into download mode, AND reset the download counter. This is very easily available from ebay and is very cheap (not more than US $5). If they do get bricked and you cant start up in download mode, you can just use a USB jig to revive it. Well, first of all, Samsung Galaxy phones aren’t that easily brickable.
